So, I recently picked up some of those "not quite Warhammer" models look SUSPICIOUSLY like the Emperor and the Lion (even though the Lion has the most inconsistent armor ever in the art)
Anyways, I'd like to use them on tabletop, not necessarily in serious matched play, but even in Narrative or casual matched games, no one wants to play "The Emperor blows up everyone with his mind." I also kind of suck at making fair custom rules
So, I was thinking taking rules for something that already exists in the books, and applying them to these models.
What do you guys think of using Roboute's rules for the Lion, and just changing any relevant rules text to Dark Angels?
The Emperor was harder to nail down rules for. Trajann Valoris feels too weak, as does Kaldor Draigo. Maybe something from the Tyranid book? Magnus the Red but with the Grey Knights psychic power list? An Imperial Knight? Obviously his model would be too small for most of these, but if the general mechanics are fair, model size can be handwaved. For reference, the Emperor stands about as tall as a Dreadnought.
Thanks for any suggestions.
